Stampin' Celebration #55

Well if it isn't one thing, it's another. However this one came a bit unexpected. I had eye surgery a few weeks ago but wasn't completely aware of all the side effects that would occur after the surgery until I was sitting in the office reading some final paper work before the surgery. lol! I knew I would be overly sensitive to light but it has been a bit ridiculous. Now this other side effect is a side effect that only happens to people 35 and older. Well I figured I am just 35 so it probably won't effect me. Yeah right. Not only could I now not see far away but my vision up close was messed up too. So let's just say lately I have spent more time with my eyes closed during the day then open. On a good note, I can say that I see a slight improvement every day. That said I have finally been able to get some crafting done and I can stand to look at a computer again for a short period of time.
I just loved the Stampin' Celebration's challenge for this month. I love black, white and pink. I am super late getting this out but I just had to play along.
I was having a hard time finding something I could replicate the zebra stripes with when I remembered a card I made a few years ago. It was a real favourite of mine and the background reminded me of these inspiration photos. It is the rose stamp from Fifth Avenue Floral.
I sure hope you get a chance to play along. Here is the list of blogs from the Design Team. Make sure you check out their great samples!

Oh, my! What a scary experience! Hope your sight is improving more each day!
Your card is gorgeous, especially with diminished sight!! Love all of the layers on the flower and the beautiful glitter!!

So sorry to hear about your eyes! I hope you are feeling better soon.

I absolutley love your card--gorgeous! The sparkle adds so much and you did a great job capturing it in the photo. Thanks for playing along with Stampin' Celebration!

I love how you made the flowers represent the zebra print and all the shimmer on your card! I would think your eyes would be so hard not to be able to use! Hope you are recovering quick!
